Lehigh River Trout Tournament
May 2nd to June 6th 2026
The Lehigh River Trout Tournament will take place again this year with more trout stocked and more tags placed in more areas of the river. Our generous Sponsors will donate great prizes again this year including Guided River Fishing Trips, Equipment, Merchandise, and Gift Certificates. Because of the huge success last year, (we had over 300 participants) the LRSA is purchasing $10,000 of Trophy Trout for the Tournament. Stockings will include Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Walnutport and Northampton. We felt that this will enable more participants to enjoy the Tournament without over pressuring a smaller area of the river. The Tournament takes place in May and early June when the water temperatures are ideal for fishing and catch and release. Remember that you must show your purchase receipt to win a prize. You may sign up and pay for multiple tournament entrants but they will need a copy of your original receipt to claim their prize.
Similar to last year, the Tournament will include:
- Entry donation of $20 can be paid online at www.lrsa.org (at the bottom of this page) or mailed in with entry ticket found in March Newsletter or sign up the day of tournament at East Penn Boat Ramp, Bowmanstown, PA
- Anglers must be registered by May 2, 2026 to qualify for prizes
- Where: Sign up table May 2, 8:00-11:00 am at East Penn Boat ramp, (Bowmanstown, PA Exit off Rt 248) Memberships and Merchandise will be available too.
- When: Tournament runs from May 2 until June 6, 2026
- Stocking Date: May 2, 2026 @ 8:00am – Noon.
- Stocking Locations: Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Bowmanstown, Palmerton, Walnutport, and Northampton
- Entrants can cut off and keep spaghetti tag for catch and release and to redeem for prizes
- One tag allowed per entrant for one prize
- Prizes to be awarded by presenting tags on June 6, 2026 @ 10 am East Penn Boat Launch Bowmanstown, PA
- Prize selection order will be from lowest number tag to highest
- Prizes to include Drift Boat Trips, Rafting Trips, Fishing Outfits, Tackle, Gift Cards, LRSA Merchandise and more.
