The River

The Lehigh River is home to many species of fish: trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, pickerel, panfish, carp, catfish and the notorious muskellunge (muskie).

Rainbow and brown trout average between 13″ – 17″ in length and anglers frequently catch trout over 20″.  There are large numbers of small mouth bass in the river between 8″ – 14″.  Occasionally these fish are caught in the 18″ – 21″ range.  Anglers are reporting increasing numbers of muskie between the 30″ – 52″ range.
